I love teaching yoga at the gym. This one gym anyway. There's something about teaching yoga to these lovely people who wouldn't necessarily call themselves yogis yet are so receptive to the practice and so grateful for it. They show up every week. Some twice a week. Their progress is tangible from class to class. Fuller breath. Greater body awareness. The sore back is not so sore anymore. We don't chant and we don't speak sanskrit. But we breathe and move. Mindfully and in sync and from the heart. We meditate in motion. It's beautiful and rewarding and I wouldn't change a thing! All we need is music to drown out the gym noise and it's all go!
